Mortons were recommended to us as we were selling my mothers house. Everything went really smoothly from the initial explanation of what they would do, and how it would progress. All the paperwork was clearly explained so we always were clear as to what was happening, We popped into the offices to drop in forms for them on a couple of occasions and the staff there were very helpful and friendly. Angela who was dealing primarily with us, couldnt tell have been more helpful. She got back to us very promptly every time we had a query and was particularly good right at the end where there were a few problems with the buyers. Her advice here was invaluable! Overall I would have no hesitation in giving the firm a 5/5. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others; in fact I already have!

I have recently used Mortons to handle the sale of a property. Communication is not their strong point as I needed to constantly chase them for any updates. From the start of the process I heard nothing from them for two months and had to chase them to find out what was happening. Further down the line I received an email with a proposed completion date,I replied then heard nothing more - again I had to chase them to find out what was going on. When we finally got to completion, I received a phone call on the morning to say the sale was going ahead and I would be contacted as soon as the sale was completed, this was on a Friday morning, I did not get a call to confirm completion until Monday.I received a letter from Mortons the following week confirming I had now PURCHASED the property and my name would be added to the Land Registry record . Despite me telling them my title was Mrs, throughout the process all correspondence was addressed to Miss. Not impressed!

They've only got one star because I can't leave a review with no stars.

We instructed Mortons to carry our a loan transaction from an investor we used in the past. (Mortons solicitor carried our a repayment for the say investor). The service we received was appalling. It took them 5 months to carry out a simple transaction. I would not recommend them.
