R G Associates is run by Raymond Glew FRICS, a Chartered Building Surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Practising since 1972, Ray (only ever called Raymond by his wife and mother and when in trouble) was elected a Professional Associate as they were then called in 1974 and a Fellow in 1986. All Chartered Surveyors have to pass examinations and undergo a period of approved training before being allowed to use the Chartered designation. Ray has spent his entire professional career in private practice and worked for both large and small companies. Recently he spent three years on secondment to a Housing Association client as their main technical support.
