A brief intro to Bournemouth

Bournemouth is a well-known coastal town and popular seaside resort on the southern coast of England. The town forms part of the South East Dorset conurbation, which comprises of Poole, Christchurch and Bournemouth respectively. The town had a population of around 183,000 as of 2011.

The town is actually relatively young, owing its founding in 1810 to Lewis Tregonwell, a Captain in the Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry.
